Welcome to the Beta Sigma Beta / Penn State University Online Community! On behalf of the current Brotherhood, Alumni and Foundation, we welcome you our BΣB Online Home.
For New Member Candidates, this site will give you your first insight into the long and hallowed tradition of the BΣB House at Penn State.
To our revered Alumni, this serves as a source of information of the continued success of the location that meant so much to all of us during our collegiate years. Further, it is a place to re-involve yourself through one of our Alumni Programs. Take this opportunity to get back in touch with your fraternity family.
The current Brothers should take the opportunity to get acquainted with Alumni activities and interact with our prestigious Alumni network. This will also be a centralized source to manage and report on many of the activities apart of contemporary BΣB life.
Regardless of whether you are considering BΣB for the first time, a current brother or part of the alumni, we hope the site will be part of creating new memories and wonderful remembrance of the past.
BΣB is a place to get involved and stay involved!
| Finding Comfort in Our Community
“In a cold world, you still need your friends to keep you warm.” (The Big Chill, 1983) As we say goodbye to Coach Paterno, Penn Staters everywhere can take comfort in friends and in the deep sense of community that we are so fortunate to enjoy as Penn State alumni. Looking back, Joe played a role in the best times of our lives – from tailgating to Bowl trips to games at Beaver Stadium. For many of us, they still continue to this day. Joe’s passing reminds us of what is most important in life: our lifelong connections to those who mean the most, including our KDR brothers. There are plenty of opportunities to celebrate being a part of the Penn State community with the friends you met there: THON – February 17-19. You can honor Joe’s wish (a fraternity guy himself) by making a donation to this great cause. 7th Annual We Are... - April 14 Parents Weekend - April 13-15 Blue/White Weekend – April 20-22 Arts Fest – July 12-15 To share your plans to reunite in Happy Valley this spring, click here. Thanks to Mark Cohen '76 for submitting his memories of "Cazz". Share YOUR story of Cazz on the message board. "I lost track of Cazz several years ago having last seen him at one of my kid's bar-bat mitzvahs.I always figured that I would run into him again, perhaps at a homecoming tailgate or in a buffet line at a wedding or other occasion. We'd reminisce about the good times at PSU and maybe I could get some useful lawn care advice. I would no doubt slip in a few ranks about his sweater, the blue and cream saddle shoes or his dog Sheba." "It was a shock to hear of Dave's sudden passing in November 2011, apparently at home while in his sleep. I don't think he had any unusual health issues. Sadly, we are reminded that our personal growing seasons may be short; both to accomplish things in life and to reconnect with our fraternity brothers." Click on the headline to read more.
