Welcome to the Beta Sigma Beta / Penn State University Online Community!
On behalf of the current Brotherhood, Alumni and Foundation, we welcome you our BΣB Online Home.
For New Member Candidates, this site will give you your first insight into the long and hallowed tradition of the BΣB House at Penn State.
To our revered Alumni, this serves as a source of information of the continued success of the location that meant so much to all of us during our collegiate years. Further, it is a place to re-involve yourself through one of our Alumni Programs. Take this opportunity to get back in touch with your fraternity family.
The current Brothers should take the opportunity to get acquainted with Alumni activities and interact with our prestigious Alumni network. This will also be a centralized source to manage and report on many of the activities apart of contemporary BΣB life.
Regardless of whether you are considering BΣB for the first time, a current brother or part of the alumni, we hope the site will be part of creating new memories and wonderful remembrance of the past.
BΣB is a place to get involved and stay involved!

| NewsShow Your Support of We Are...Curing Autism NowIn 2006, Beta Sigma Beta along with Pi Beta Phi sorority launched the first annual “We Are…Curing Autism Now 5K Race/3K Walk” to help raise awareness and funds for Autism at Penn State University. Beyond raising an exceptional $91,000, the success met by the hard work and good will of these two organizations inspired the founding of Autism SpeaksU. Autism SpeaksU is a national organization that has used the framework of “We Are…Curing Autism Now” and has implemented it to several other universities. What has started under the leadership of Beta Sigma Beta and Pi Beta Phi has evolved into something larger than ever imagined. Since the premier event in 2006, “We Are…Curing Autism Now 5K Race/3K Walk” has raised over $550,000 and attracted more than 4700 participants. The proceeds have gone to Autism Speaks, the sponsor of Autism SpeaksU and the nation’s largest autism science and advocacy organization. Such funding is dedicated to research into the causes, prevention, treatments and a cure for autism; increasing awareness of autism; and advocating for the needs of individuals with autism and their families. He writes "Last year’s event was a huge success and we have decided to have Del Frisco’s play host once again. We already have our media sponsor for the event, Philadelphia Style, and I am currently working with a group to be another media sponsor (radio). Last year we had a record turnout, and there were a lot of new faces, and most important, those new faces were exposed to JNF. I encourage all of you to visit the JNF website at www.jnf.org, to learn more. I would like to start the process of forming our committee for the event as soon as possible, that is why I am reaching out only to a few people, hopefully the newest members to JNF. This year’s chair people are David Dinenberg (Beta Sig) and Billy Shaid and the exec committee is: Richard Cohen, Brett Hirsh (Beta Sig), Stewart Anmuth, Darren Gubernick, and Rob Zuritsky. There are a number of other Beta Sigs on the committee such as Michael Stalbaum, Justin Fine, Brian Merin and many others are participants. All of the Hirsh Brothers are involved. Continued... Support the Annual FundFor many of us, the bonds we formed at Beta Sig grew into connections that make life more meaningful today. Many of us have no closer friends than those we made back then. Some of us got first job or reference from a brother, others have made great business connections through brothers. Some were our groomsmen or godfathers to our kids. Add to that the lessons we learned as a result of our association with the fraternity. These have helped to lay a foundation for the successes we have experienced in our personal and professional careers. Remember that our annual fund relies on support from our alumni brotherhood, and every donor makes a big difference. We can’t continue our program without you. Campus Greek NewsSpring brings revamp to Beta Theta Pi fraternityFrom the 1/13/10 issue of The Daily CollegianSixty men have accepted bids so far to join Beta Theta Pi fraternity's re-establishment pledge class, gearing up to begin recruitment for the spring. The former Beta Theta Pi brothers were asked to leave the house by alumni last March when the fraternity was confronted with allegations of hazing and party violations. By this fall, the 220 N. Burrowes Road property should be full with new members. Currently, only re-establishment director Jeff Rundle and a few caretakers live in the house, which is expected to become the home of 46 brothers in fall of 2010. Click here to read the full article.
